ARTICLE GUIDELINES

The article must address academics and those in the pursuit of knowledge, prepared in a serious manner. At the same time, it must consist of language that is clear, concise, and easy to understand.

The articles must preferably be the first to discuss the topic in the field, consist of main sources, as well as refrain from providing introductory information unless absolutely necessary.

The language style used must be clear and concise, avoiding any spelling and grammatical errors. The terminology must be used in a way that is appropriate in light of our history and civilization.

A. Formatting Guidelines

  • Articles should be around 7500 words.
  • The page format must be adjusted to A4 size, with the following margins; Top 3, Bottom 2.5, Left 3, and Right 2.5.

    • The automatic hyphenation settings must be used on the word processing software rather than using manual hyphens

B. FOOTNOTE AND BIBLIOGRAPHY GUIDELINES

1. Using Footnotes

  • The sources that need to be referenced but cannot be done within the text would have to be referenced as a footnote and be numbered.

  • The footnotes would be given as 1, 2, 3 … in Arabic numeration throughout the text in a continuous manner.

  • The numbers would have to be placed after the period at the end of the sentence.

  • The footnote begins with a capital letter and ends with a period.

  • Footnotes would be aligned from the left and be justified. The footnotes have to be numbered using the ‘bullets and numbering’ setting.

  • In the case that more than one reference is cited in one footnote, the sources used must be sorted alphabetically. The date that should be used is the date of death in the case of ancient authors, and the date of publication for the contemporary authors. Referencing can be sorted according to primary and secondary sources as well; in this case, the previous sequence will be used.
